A lot of pillow dog beds contain cedar chips, shavings or bits because it is a natural way to help prevent flea and tick infestation, and it also helps to control odors. But it's important to keep in mind that some people and also some dogs are allergic to Cedar Dog Beds. We carry several dog beds made with frames constructed of super-tough PVC plastic as well as heavy-duty fabric that is practically indestructible. Some people call them PVC dog beds while others incorrectly might refer to them as plastic dog beds. Plastic dog beds are eco friendly dog beds that contain a very soft filling that is partially made from recycled plastic bottles.

Dogs suffering from joint pain or arthritis will have an easier time getting on and off of pillow dog beds because there is no need to step over side cushions. If you have an aging or injured dog, one of our pillow dog beds would likely be a good choice.

We do carry waterproof dog beds but they are not the only type that are easy to wash. PetFrenzy includes washing instructions in the descriptions of all of our dog beds. No matter what style dog bed you choose or where you buy it from, we recommend that you check the manufacturer's washing instructions. Not all dog beds offer the convenience of removable, machine-washable covers.

Most PetFrenzy pillow dog beds have a removable cover that is machine washable, and many can also go in the dryer. We also have quite a few styles that allow you to toss the entire bed in the washer, not just the cover.
