Aluminum Raised Kuranda Pet Bed

The Raised Aluminum Pet Bed is an option in which we substitute aluminum frame pipes for our standard high-grade poly resin PVC. The aluminum frame is superior in strength and prevents the bed from bowing in along the sides under the weight of very large dogs. The corners and legs will remain a gray color PVC.

  • Cordura Fabric is a high-denier nylon, with a urethane backing that is strong and highly abrasion resistant. Plush weave provides comfort and secure footing. Often used in backpacks, shoes, and other products exposed to extensive wear. It has the feel and texture of traditional canvas but with greater durability. This fabric has a waterproof coating so it will puddle if rained on.
  • Vinyl Weave is a tightly woven open mesh fabric allows air and water to flow through fabric, helping dogs stay cool and dry. It is an excellent choice for outdoor use and is often found in upscale patio furniture. It is attractive, easy to clean and frequently used when a bed will be outside in the weather or in hot climates where free air circulation helps cool the dog. Vinyl weave fabric is not recommended for dogs who dig as it is the most susceptible to damage from their nails. Vinyl weave is the only fabric not covered under the Kuranda warranty.
  • 40 oz. Vinyl is our most durable, easiest to clean fabric. The heavy-duty vinyl material has proven to provide many years of service in kennels and shelters. The smooth, non-porous surface enables easy cleaning; just spray and wipe clean.
  • Ballistic Nylon is a high-denier nylon, with a urethane backing that is strong and highly resistant. Ballistic is very similar to Cordura in appearance and durability; however, it has a smoother finish and is easier to clean. Ballistic Nylon has a rich appearance and is the same fabric frequently used in making luggage. Many kennel owners and breeders who prefer a canvas type material choose Ballistic nylon. This excellent fabric also has a waterproof coating so it will puddle if rained on.
