Free Standing Dog Gates

Free standing dog gates, also known as self standing dog gates, are ideal for pet owners with small or medium sized dogs. If you are looking for a dog gate for your large dog, a free standing dog gate is probably not your best choice. Although our freestanding dog gates are strong and sturdy, they are not securely fastened to a wall or doorway. If your dog is strong or jumpy, freestanding dog gates may not be able to safely and securely contain your pet.

Freestanding dog gates are simple to use and require little to no installation. They are easy to move and will work well in any area of your home. Free standing dog gates have a wide base that prevents them from tipping if your dog nudges the gate to get your attention. The free standing feature also prevents damage to your walls and doorways. The tallest freestanding dog gate carried by Pet Frenzy has a maximum height of 36 inches, which may work for larger dogs depending on their temperament. If you have a large dog that is either timid or laid back, a free standing dog gate would work just fine. Many of these are small dog gates that are low enough to easily step over which is a great alternative to opening and closing the dog gate door every time you need to enter or exit a room.
