Bicycle Pet Carriers

For your safety, and for the safety of your pet, all PetFrenzy bicycle pet carriers have limits to the size and weight of pets that can be carried in them. Please be sure to take note of size and weight limits before purchasing one of our bicycle pet carriers.

Most bike baskets for dogs are made to be mounted on bicycle handlebars, but some are made to be mounted to the rear of a bicycle. Bicycle pet carriers that are mounted on the handlebars are generally for small dogs that weigh 13-15 pounds. Bicycle pet carriers that are mounted on the rear of a bicycle can accommodate dogs that are somewhat heavier, approximately 24 pounds.

In the case of bike baskets for dogs, also be sure that the carrier's straps do not interfere with your bicycle's brake cables or levers. -- Do not ride at night, or when the ground is wet. -- Wear an ANSY/ASTMY/SNELL approved helmet.
